Sean’s 30 year career in mortgage lending has included retail, wholesale and correspondent as well as warehouse lending. Sean holds the ABA’s CLBB designation as well as the MBA’s AMP designation. Sean has been active with the Texas Mortgage Bankers Association for 3 years and currently serves on the Board of Directors.|
|Chair Elect Kim S. Curtis, President and CEO, Tidewater Home Funding, LLC, Chesapeake, VA. Kim has more than three decades experience in mortgage lending, starting out as a loan office. Previously, she was a Vice President for BancBoston Mortgage Corporation and one of three founding and managing members of Southern Trust Mortgage. Since its 1998 opening Southern Trust has grown into one of the Mid-Atlantic’s largest multistate mortgage banking firms. Kim also served as President of Tidewater Mortgage Bankers Association.|
|Secretary/Treasurer Michael Jones CFO Thrive Mortgage, LLC (Formerly Georgetown Mortgage, LLC.) Prior to accepting the position of CFO, Michael originated loans for Georgetown Mortgage in Dallas, TX, where he first embarked on his mortgage career. As a market participant, Michael quickly learned the guidelines for FHA, Conventional, VA, and USDA loans to serve his borrowers with unprecedented accuracy.Prior to entering the mortgage business, Michael worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers as a tax CPA working with national and international private companies. In addition to mortgage activities, Michael Jones is also the author of “Reset” – a novel that captures the struggle and inspiration of loan officers today.|

|Past Chair Paulina S. McGrath, President and co-owner, Republic State Mortgage Co., Houston, TX. Paulina has led Republic since 1999 and grown the company from two to 22 locations in seven states. Notably, Republic is a past recipient of the Inc. 500 Award from Inc. Magazine. Paulina also serves on the Board of the Texas Mortgage Bankers Association and is the Vice President of the Board of Trustees of the Women’s Fund, a non-profit organization that provides Houston area women and girls with the tools they need to be advocates for their health.|
|Larry Bell, Mortgage Division Manager, Bank of Idaho. Larry has more than three decades experience in managing mortgage operations. He is also a member of the LendersOne Advisory Board. Larry is active in his community, serves on the local Neighbor Works Pocatello Board and is the founding race director for the Pocatello Marathon. He is a graduate of Idaho State University.|
|Richard Carrington is CEO of American Southwest Funding Corp., a retail lender and President of American Southwest Mortgage Corp., a wholesale/correspondent lender, both Oklahoma City-based. Richard has 40 years of experience in residential mortgage production management and is both an FHA Direct Endorsement Underwriter and a VA Automatic Underwriter. He has been active during his career in mortgage industry associations at national and state levels and is currently a member of the Lenders One Advisory Board.|
|Matthew Clarke, Board Member – Matt is a seasoned veteran of the financial industry with expertise in financial management, business development, operational management, strategic planning, banking, process development, mergers/acquisitions and risk management. As Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer for Brentwood, Tenn. based Churchill Mortgage Corporation, Matt has provided strategic guidance throughout the growth of the company. He played an integral role in expanding it from an 8-state footprint to its current level encompassing 46 states, 700% growth in production, and transformation of the ownership to 49% employee owned through an ESOP plan. He is also recipient of the Nashville Business Journal’s CFO Award Winner, which honors Middle Tennessee’s top financial professionals for outstanding performance in their roles as corporate financial stewards.|
Marla Guillaume, a 28 year industry veteran, is a founding member of Century Lending Company. Marla joined Century when it was created in 2003 as Vice President of Sales after having served for over 8 years as an Account Executive for the nation’s largest retail and wholesale mortgage lender. She created Century’s Wholesale Division from a clean slate and brought that department to record-setting volume for multiple years. Under her leadership Century Lending expanded its operations into 22 states. In 2012 Marla created the company’s Correspondent Division. She was elevated to President of Century Lending in January 2014, where she continues to bring innovative and effective solutions for our business partners and customers.
Marla is currently a counsel member for the Independent Mortgage Banker Committee and Wholesale Lender Executive Counsel for the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA). She is also a member of the Education Committee for the Kentucky Mortgage Bankers Association, The Community Mortgage Lenders of America, and the 2018 Chair of the Signatures Chef Event for March of Dimes, along with holding various positions in many other past and present committees in our industry.
|Wes Hunt is the President and CEO of Homestar Financial Corporation, with nearly thirty years of experience in the residential mortgage and real estate industry. Wes founded Homestar in April of 2002, with operations extending through the southeast and beyond. Wes has organized an accomplished executive team that oversees the daily operations of Homestar, including mortgage origination, underwriting, secondary marketing, and servicing.|
|Karen Lieb, Vice President and Operations Manager, AKT American Capital, El Segundo, CA. Karen has led operations at AKT for 17 years and has expanded the company from one to 17 offices throughout California and seven other states. |Brad Livingston, founder and President of Residential Wholesale Mortgage, Inc. (RWMI), Solana Beach, CA. RWMI is a full service Community Mortgage Banker that originates, underwrites, funds, and services residential mortgage loans in California, Oregon and Washington. Brad oversees compliance; credit; risk and treasury management; and is involved in strategic planning, business development and setting the company’s culture.
Brad holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business/Economics from UCLA and is a licensed MLO, Real Estate Agent and General Contractor. He is actively involved in the community serving on the Scripps Stevens Center Advisory Board and the Just in Time Foster Youth Board.

|Ed F. Wallace, Jr. PhD., Executive Director, has over 35 years of hands-on mortgage banking experience which includes responsibilities for production, operations, underwriting, compliance and technology. He has developed retail, wholesale, and correspondent production and operational networks, on a national level and held management and executive management positions with national and international banks as well as independent mortgage companies. For the last ten years, he served as Chief Integration Officer for Docu Prep, Inc., a technology company that specializes in the electronic delivery of compliant mortgage and consumer documents. He has served on regional and national committees for Loan Production, Fraud Issues, FHA, and VA. Ed earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Alabama and University of Georgia where he received a BBA. He later continued his education receiving a Masters and PhD in Marketing from LaSalle University.|
|Robert W. Zimmer, Director of External Communications, is a longtime financial services executive based in Washington, D.C. He leads the strategic consulting firm, TVDC, and previously served as a staff member of the House Financial Services Committee and head of Congressional Relations for Freddie Mac.|
|David Horne, Government Relations Representative, has two decades experience providing government relations advocacy and strategic advice. Previously, David held a number of senior housing related positions, including Chief of Staff, HUD and Chief of Staff/Senior Counsel on the Banking Subcommittee on Housing and Community Opportunity.|
|Tammy Cross, Director of Administration has over 14 years of experience in the title insurance industry and over 20 years of experience in Accounting. Throughout her career in title insurance she had responsibility for the accounting and financial reporting for over 200+ title insurance joint ventures to over 1000 partners monthly. For the last 7 years, she has served as the Director of Administration for the CMLA, delivering the monthly financial reports as well as assisting with membership recruitment, conference planning and supporting the Executive Director. Tammy earned her undergraduate degree in Accounting and Business Administration from George Mason University and her MBA from Regis University.|
